A phase II clinical study was conducted to evaulate the safety and efficacy of treating breast carcinomas.  Over 195 patients were treated.

The efficacy goal of the study is to demonstrate low level of local recurrence following MRgFUS treatment and MRI-based follow-up. Eligible patients with early stage single tumor of less than 1.5 cm will be treated with ExAblate as a replacement for lumpectomy. Following non invasive MRgFUS treatment, patient will be closely followed-up for 5 years.
